INTRODUCTION

WeSport - Sports App

In 2024, I designed the Wesport app, the all-in-one sports hub in the UAE. The app enables users to connect through sports, book venues, join matches, follow sports news, and discover professional opportunities via the Mercato feature.

The goal was to launch a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that validated the demand for a unified sports ecosystem, bridging the gap between casual players, aspiring athletes, and professional scouts.

As the sole designer, I led the end-to-end UX and UI design across 4+ key features. I also established the design strategy and foundational system that will scale as the platform grows and expands across the UAE.

PROBLEM

In the UAE, 71% of aspiring athletes report a lack of access to professional clubs or scouts. Meanwhile, 50% of residents struggle to find nearby venues or organized games.

Despite the growing sports culture, there was no centralized mobile platform serving this need.

Designing Wesport meant solving this gap—creating a seamless, connected experience for players, clubs, and communities across the country.

SOLUTION

Crafting a dynamic brand and user-centric mobile experience for WeSport to connect athletes and sports enthusiasts across the MENA region.

My design process followed a user-centered approach: I discovered key pain points through research, defined user needs and product goals, designed intuitive solutions through wireframes and prototypes, and delivered polished, high-fidelity designs ready for development and iteration.

USER PERSONA

Wesport is built for people who live and breathe sports in the UAE, from amateur athletes to casual players and parents looking for organized activities.

These personas represent our core users: their goals, challenges, and what they need from a sports platform. Understanding them helps us design features that truly matter , making it easier to book, play, connect, and grow through sport.

WeSport's onboarding experience is designed to help users explore core features from the start—whether it's finding games, booking venues, or connecting with other players. Through a clean, guided flow, users can set their preferences, discover what the app offers, and jump into action in just a few taps.

The Social Feed brings your sports community to life by showcasing local updates, match highlights, player stories, and event announcements—all in one place. Whether you're looking to share a game moment, discover new players, or keep up with nearby matches, the feed makes it easy to engage with your sports circle.

TALENT SHORTS

Showcase your skills in short, powerful clips.

Talent Shorts lets users upload and share quick videos of their best plays, fitness routines, or training highlights. Whether you're an amateur athlete or rising star, this feature helps you stand out, get noticed, and inspire others in the WeSport community—all through bite-sized, high-impact content.

MERCATO

Find and join teams or recruit new players with ease.

Mercato acts as a dynamic player marketplace where individuals and teams can connect. Whether you're a solo athlete looking to get picked up, or a team captain in need of a goalkeeper for tonight’s game, Mercato helps match the right talent with the right teams—making team building fast, simple, and community-driven.
